Spotlight on a Creepers Team Member: Meet Jemma

At Creepers, we’re passionate about our people, and today we’re shining a light on Jemma, one of our enthusiastic team members who’s making a real impact on the nursery. Here’s a glimpse into their journey, favourite plants, and what makes Creepers such a special place to work.

What has been the highlight of your first few months at Creepers?

“Meeting lots of new people, both colleagues and clients! It’s been great to build relationships with everyone and learn from such an experienced team.”

What does a typical day at Creepers look like for you?

“Every day is so different! One day I might be showing 3 - 4 clients around the nursery, and on another I'll be working on quotations, sourcing plants, and helping with cash and carry orders.”

We know it’s hard to choose just one, but what’s your favourite tree or plant currently on the nursery?

“Robinia Twisty Baby! It’s just so unusual, the twisted branches and vibrant leaves make it a standout, and it’s always a hit with customers.”

What’s your favourite thing about working at Creepers?

“The variety of work keeps it interesting, every day offers something new, and the incredible diversity of plants we work with makes it a constantly exciting environment.”

What advice would you give to someone wanting to work in the industry?

“Give it a go! You’ll be surprised at how much you can learn, and how quickly you’ll start picking up knowledge.”

What are you most looking forward to over the next few months? Are there any events coming up you’re involved with?

“Rootball season is in full swing, and I’m excited to continue supplying projects throughout the winter months. I’m particularly looking forward to working on some exciting projects in Wentworth and St George’s Hill.”

What’s one fact about yourself that people would be surprised by?

“I only became interested in gardening when I started working in the industry almost five years ago! It’s been an incredible journey of discovery, and I love how much I’ve learned since then.
